Wound（怪我） †
One of your characters has just received a wound! In addition to the physical damage resulting from a drop in your vitality, wounds may be caused: if one of your characters receives more damage points at once than he/she has Constitution, he/she will receive a wound.
Some Special Skills also cause wounds. \nA character can endure a total of four wounds before he/she will fall to the ground, close to death. Each wound reduces attacks, parries, ranged combat, dodge and agility by two points.
A higher value in 'Willpower' enables a modified Test to be performed in order to ignore this damage and to prevent wounds being inflicted in the first place.
Wounds must be specifically healed; they do not regenerate automatically.
To do this, use the items 'Simple Bandage, 'Salve of Healing' or 'Whirlweed' in conjunction with a Talent Test for 'Treat Wounds'.
The 'Calm Body, Calm Spirit' spell heals slowly during sleep.
The 'Balm of Healing' spell, on the other hand, heals wounds immediately - but only if the character has fewer wounds than the amount of the modifier.
With Modifier 2, for example, you can heal one or two wounds, but you are completely powerless to heal three or more.
'Calm Body, Calm Spirit'
Not all conflicts can be resolved using wordplay. Some people and many monsters understand just one language - that of cold steel. When you encounter one of these aggressive beings, the game will automatically switch into Combat Mode. In order to attack an opponent, click on it. The opponent's portrait will then appear at the top edge of the screen. A fight consists of alternating rounds in which each fighter perform attacks and parries automatically. A successful attack - a die roll on the Attack Value (AV) - is usually followed by a parry (PA) (die roll on the PA value) on the part of your opponent. If the attack is successful, Hit Points for the weapon used, reduced by the Armor Rating, are deducted from your opponent's Vitality. Once the red Vitality Bar has been used up, the opponent has been defeated. Although characters will automatically attack their enemies of their own accord, they will often need tactical help from you during a fight. Use the space bar to pause the fight while you issue commands. Direct your characters and switch between offensive and defensive moves. Cast destructive spells and perform powerful Special Attacks in order to turn the skirmish to your advantage. \nPrepare yourself well, as you cannot change your equipment during a fight. Now off to your first battle! Rondra be with you!!
Animal Lore（動物の知識） †
You can use the 'Animal Lore' Talent to disembowel dead animals. As well as normal loot, this talent provides you with special utensils and ingredients for alchemy and weapon-making. You can also sell them! You use this talent via the Context Menu for a dead creature. The character selected rolls a Talent Test for 'Animal Lore'; if this is successful, a Loot Window opens. If, on the other hand, it is unsuccessful, you have no further chances to disembowel the animal. A high Talent Prowess value in 'Survival' highlights animals wandering nearby on the Location Map at the top left. This enables you to go hunting in order to utilize your skills.
Plant Lore（植物の知識） †
Along the wayside grow beneficial plants and herbs.
These will be useful to you on your travels.
If you have a high Talent Prowess value in 'Survival',the places close by where such plants can be found will be marked on the Location Map at the top left.
In order to harvest plants, you can either travel specifically to the highlighted areas or simply trust your luck and keep your eyes open while you travel through wilderness areas.
Once you've found a herb, you can right-click on it to collect it.
You will only be able to do this successfully, however, if you have the 'Plant Lore' Talent, for which a Test is rolled.
If the Talent Test is successful, a loot window will open in which you can collect the plant components.
If it is unsuccessful, however, the plant will be destroyed.
Adventure Point（アドベンチャーポイント） †
Congretulations, your characters have just received their first Adventure Points!
In the course of their eventful lives, they will receive more of these points by completing tasks orde feating opponents.
Adventure Points(AP) can be used at any time to improve your character's playing valuses.
To do this, switch to the Character Sheet in the Progress Mode by clicking on the red seal at the bottom right.
The number of points which can still be allo cate dare shown by the Leveling Points.
The costs of making an improvement are displayed next to the playing values in either green or red font, depending on whether or not you have enough points to make an improvement.
Note that the character's level will limit the amount of the Talent and Spell Prowess values, while the character's level will increase as he or she earns more Adventure Points.

Party Members（パーティメンバー） †
You don't have to go adventuring alone.
As you play, you'll make friends who will accompany you on your travels.
You can use Dialogs to add them to your party and control up to four characters.
Each member is depicted by a character portrait at the right-hand edge of the screen.
You can left-cilck on this to select a character and lead them around the game world.
You can right-click to open the Context Menu and double-click to select the entire group.
You can then equipeach of your group members individually via your Character Sheet.

These show the effects which you can currently place on to one of your cahacters.
These can be either positive or negative.
On the bottom left-hand-side of the portrait, you can switch combat styles between aggressive(a sword) and defensive(a shield).

The Inventory contains all the objects a character carries with them.
Two inventory bags and a quest bag provide space for items you have earned and collected.
The money shows your entire party's funds.
You should pay particular attention to your armor rating and the weight as, the heavier your character's armor, the more handicapped he or she will be in battle.
to equip a character, click on the item.
This places the item in the appropriate character in the right-hand edge of the screen.
To access the object or talent quickly in the game, use the same method to place it into the QuickSlot? Bar at the bottom edge of the screen.

Talents reflect your character's personality and capabilites.
Each character has what are known as Basic Talents.
On the other hand, however, Special Talents must be learned, unless your character possesses them from the out set due to particular cicumstances.
How well a character has mastered a particular talent is shown by its value.
Talents are employed in many different game situations:they enable you to receive extra information in dialogs also to dis cover animals and plants in the wilderness.
'Pick Pockets'is useful when your purse is empty, and 'Willpower' helps you with any subse quent physical altercations.
The success or failure of these actions is decided by Talent Tests.
A Test is always rolled for three attributes.
The values involved in the Test are highlighted when you mouse over them.
Right -clicking displays further information about the talent.
Pick Locks（開錠） †
Some locked doors or chests only look like obstacles at first glance Clever charavters can try to discover their secrets using the 'Pick Locks'Talent.
In addition to this Talent, the character will ideally need a tool in the form of a lockpick, a small knife or a hairpin.
Some of which are expended during use.
If the Talent Test is successful, the lock will open; if unsuccessful, however the character will be subject to a handicap for a certain period of time.
If he/she tries again during this period, he/she will receive a large penalty.
Combat Talents（戦闘技能） †
The Combat Talents reflect how well a character can fight.
There are various types of weapons, in which each character has his or her own Talent Prowess.
In the explanations for each weapon, you will find the Talent Prowess for each one.
In contrast to normal talents, no Talent Tests are performed for Combat Talents.
The Talent Prowess for Melee Skills is divided into Base Attack Values and Base Parry Values, while that for Ranged Combat is applied entirely to the Base Ranged Value; you can, within certain parameters, decide yourself how to apportion it.
The values determined this way result in the character's final attack and defense values during combat, on which every character rolls an Attack Test.
Combat Talent
